I am curious, one of the verses that the Adventists utilize to proove that the Sabbath has not been abolished is the quote of Jesus:

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

The Adventists say that the fulfillment is in the return of Jesus rather than mainstream Christianity's proclamation that the fulfillment was at the resurrection of Jesus.

My question is:  Does this mean that the Sabbath will not be kept in heaven as well as other laws.

What laws will be abolished and what laws will be kept in heaven?

Which laws are being kept? Unchanged by mens traditions?

REV 11V19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The ten commandments are the testament placed in the ark.

Not are being Andrew, will be.

The Adventists always tell people that the laws were not changed as Jesus said they would not be changed until all is fulfilled.  There fore, something must be changed.

Which laws that you keep now will not be kept in heaven Andrew?

What did Jesus mean by this?

Val, there had to be Laws in heaven for iniquity to have been found in Lucifer(Satan) . God's Laws will be in the redeem's hearts and minds. And since the redeemed will include other human beings  along with those created beings which have never been disobedient, the love thy neighbor and LOVE GOD as reflected in the Decalogue will certainly be valid.

God indicated by Isaiah's writings that there will continue to be the seventh day Sabbath. 66:22-23----------"heaven" will be our abode for 1000 years, then the awesome delight of observing the "Creation of the new earth" will titillate our very being.

Only the "laws' which were in association with Christ's substitutionary sacrifices will be abolished-----and that has been done.

Remember, Adam and Eve were created to live eternally---they had the "tree of life" to eat from.(had they been obedient)

If this is the case, why then do SDAs continue to utilize this text as proof that the Sabbath is still to be kept on earth until the second coming?

I can not find in the Bible any indication that Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath.

The great thing about SDA's is they aren't tossed about by the whims or doctrines of men.

Andrew are not also in the ark of the covenant all of the laws that God dictated to Moses?

Deut 31: 26 is one reference to laws that God dictated to Moses that are in the ark.

Val, The Decalogue(those laws written by God on the tablets of stone) anf the Sacrificial/Ceremonial laws which God told Moses to write and how to made the Earthly sanctuary(which was patterned after the Heavenly one are not the same Nor do they have the same functions. But you are well aware of those facts.

The "ceremonial Sabbaths are abolished", but that doesn't Abolish the Decalogue( with it's seventh day Sabbath) which wasn't a part of those Sacrificial laws. The Scriptures still acknowledge that sin is being committed and that Jesus is still pleading the repentant sinner's case before the Father.
