I don't know exactly where to post this question.   But this dream does have folks who I knew when I was a boy, and they all are now passed on.    If there is a better spot to post this question, please let me know, and I will post there.

I've had a dream that takes place in a church I've never seen, except in this dream.   On the outside this church looks small and almost square, but inside it's gigantic, with seating for many thousands.  In the past, when I enter this church I've seen people I've known, mostly as a young boy.   They all welcome me and we have a great reunion.   No church service, just a fellowship.

Last night, when I entered the church it had changed.   As I entered I stepped into an area that had four doors.   Two in front of me, and one one each side.  As I opened the door in front of me I noticed a church service already in progress.   I gave my apology and stepped back and closed the door.

I then opened one of the side doors, and walked in.   The whole room was filled with young children all very quiet and all of them were looking at me.   No adults were in this room, and as far as I could tell, nothing was going on.   As I said, all the children were very quite, as they say, you could hear a pin drop.   I looked at their faces and they were all smiling, as if to say, they had been waiting for me to arrive.

I left this room and opened the other door.   This room was much larger than the other two, and completely empty.   I could hear music in this room.    The music was from a choir, voices only.   It was music I have never heard before.    As I stood there, someone came up and told me put on the clothing he handed to me.   It was a dark suit with a white shirt and red tie.   I put the suit on, and then woke up.   This dream was so vivid I lay awake for an hour, going over very detail.   And also wondering what it meant?   If anything.

Hopefully someone has some experience with explaining dreams, and can shed some light on this one.

one wonders if you see your SELF as some how small and square. interesting that once you turn within you recognize childhood friends that have long since passed.

the church, or temple if you will, seems related to your spiritual SELF no doubt. the four doors are evidently 4 options or are they the four aspects of life as in the similarity to the riddle of the sphinx?

has something changed in your life? something that doesn't allow you to feel comfortable in entering into a organized type of service?

to enter the KINGDOM it has been said that one must become like a child. awestruck or if you will awe filled and see the mystery and be again that ideal where one feels that every awakening is christmas morning full of hopes and dreams? obviously there is a mystery here with the stillness of all these youngsters who seem very glad to see you. yet you didn't join them, why?

edgar cayce states that dreaming of others dressed in black is often a clue to their health and impending demise. i am in no way suggesting that you are about to die because the dream has you choosing to open all 4 doors; however the choice you finally make to enter into is to accept the dark suit proffered you by someone whom you don't seem to be able to identify and a room that is devoid of anything except piped in music and a stranger.

it would seem you have 3 options. the choice is yours.

edgar cayce stated that each individual was the best interpreter of his/her own dreams.  i would tend to agree because given a word association you would most likely notice the similarities to your daily thoughts in relationship to your nightly thoughts.

Thank you Masmenosdios for your reply to my dream question.

Let me clear up the four doors.   The two doors in front open into the same room.   They open up and make a large path to enter this room.   The other doors, on the side, are much smaller and would allow only one person at a time to enter.

I'm not sure what this means, except it's possible that the large opening is to show this path is the one most folks would take.   It's easy to pass through, and it's right there in front of you.   The other two doors might be mistaken for coat closets, and easily passed by.

Nothing major has happened that would cause me not to go into an organized type of service.   It's just that I've become aware there is much more to the Creator, than what the average church is trying to teach.

The room with the children may be a symbol that unless one gives up his false beliefs and comes to the Creator, like a child, full of wonder at what the Creator has revealed to him, he will never find  God.   I didn't stay in that room because I'm not to that stage yet.   This may very well be the room you go to, when you are reborn, into the kingdom of heaven.

The third room, with the beautiful music, maybe from unseen angels, is the most unusual.    I felt complete peace and the absence of all fear.   It could well be that this is the room I will go to when I die, and receive a new set of cloths, and shed my old ones.

One thing I'm happy about is that I remembered this dream, and took the time to write it down.   Most dreams go away with the light of day, this one did not.

thanks for the clarification.

and above all else it shows that you're introspective and aware of your inner SELF.

best wishes

Sounds to me like a trip to the astral spiritual school and not a dream at all.

Any dream that is very realistic with few or none of the nonsense elements of a standard dream is suspect, IME, as a "spirit travel" dream or, if set in the past, a past life one.

Why not program yourself before going to sleep asking that you may return to this location for clarification of its meaning? Compose a brief sentence that you may repeat like a mantra as you're drifting off to sleep, something specific that involves a significant feature of your dream likely to place you back in the location. I can't suggest what that might be, but you will know what the best "landmark" of it is for you.

Although you may not need it considering how vividly you recall this dream you had, it's not a bad idea to include in your pre-sleep programming session a request that you remember the experience upon awaking. If you prefer, you can program yourself to awake upon completion of the dream so that you can record the details immediately.

An interesting experience, to be sure.

Thank you DotNotInOz for your post.   I've been doing, what you suggested, thinking about the small church right before going to sleep, and so far, no return trips.   At least none I can remember when I wake up.   The only thing I remember is a feeling that the number two has a great meaning for me, but two what?   I have a teacher, in my dreams, an unseen teacher, who, from time to time, will even contact me during the day.   But lately, after I wake up in the morning, I have the feeling the teacher has told me something that the number 2 will have some meaning, to me.

This "teacher" , can't think of a better name to call him/her, contacted me years ago when I was thinking about leaving this earth.   I was praying that my life be cleared of the "stuff" that was making me so depressed.   I had lost my business, my home was in foreclosure, and my wife had left me to go live with another man.    I was about to find myself on the street.

What I'm about to tell you now, I'm sure most folks will not believe, but I was contacted by my teacher and told if I want to leave, I can leave right now.   The ceiling opened up and a great white hole was suddenly there, above my head.   He didn't tell me,  just hang in there, and everything will be alright, but instead told me, "You are free to leave anytime you want".

Without any assurance things would be getting better from him, I somehow knew I was going to be alright, and that all I had to do was focus on what I wanted, out of life, and stop looking at what I had lost.   Now, over 20 years later, my new home is completely paid for, I have enough money in savings to receive $50,000 a year until I die, and leave my kids an estate worth millions.

I don't know why I was picked to be one of the teachers students, but I have never felt alone again, since the day I met him/her.   I've often felt my teacher was me, the eternal me, but whoever the teacher is, my eternal soul, or some angel, or God himself, I will be forever thankful for his comfort and love.
