A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

That would just be us pagans, Wiccans, and witches trying to fight against Christianity of course!

Every member has the choice as to how, why and where they post on Beliefnet. Some members choose to do so by making a drive-by on boards they usually don't participate on. A drive-by is a short inflammatory post meant to a) deliberately push other member's buttons, b) deliberately derail the topic as other members try to respond to the degratory statement(s) being made and c) in accomplishing a and b, provide the drive-by poster with the illusion that he or she has power over others. Now the occasional habitual drive-by poster may return to rekindle a disruption that is dying out through actually responding with more of the same. Even more rarely, that drive-by poster may turn out to be someone in a bad mood or who mistakenly thought they were being funny. Most however just lurk to admire their handiwork and then go away when the disruption dies out.
So even though this is a minor drive-by and the original drive-by was pretty lame, I'm going to use this as a lesson. Each of you has some choices. Every time you respond (in good faith) to any drive-by poster, you do so to someone who almost certainly isn't interested in anything you have to say and who, if he or she does return, may just use whatever you have provided as source material for another drive-by post. You could complain properly instead of just muttering online about , isn't this against the ROC? That way, the Hosts can decide and take the appropriate action. Which may not be removing the post on each occasion, just so you know. Or you can ignore a drive-by and continue the discussion, which effectively and neatly derails a, b and c ever being fulfilled. C.H. Beliefnet Host Wicca Forum (Host Housecleaning alert: This drive-by and responses will be removed sometime this weekend)

If it wasn't so damn hard sometimes, Beliefnet probably wouldn't need Hosts, would they?
