Hi,
,My name is Astrid and I am new to these forums. I am 25-years-old. I think the site automatically set my gender to male, and my first questions is how do I change it, since I am female. I do not remember having said I'm male upon registering or anything, but when I edit my profile, it keeps listing my gender as male even though I specify it otherwise. As for faith stuff, I have dissociative identity disorder (mutliple personality disorder), which is why the "etal" suffix is at my username. My personalities all have different faiths or no faith, and I am here to explore common ground. I myself do not have a spiritual/religious identity. I was raised atheist, but my christian personality is more and more trying to practise her faith. |

Hi, Astrid, Welcome to Beliefnet! Yes, the site automatically set your gender to male. It's a recent glitch that our tech team is working on. So for the time being, everyone is male as far as this glitch is concerned Despite the glitch - which we expect to be fixed soon - we hope you'll stick around.
Cheers,

Hi Astrid, You'll find where to put "female" if you look on your profile page. There are some categories to the left. Look for "my profile". It's different from "profile". On your profile page, look over to the right. You'll see a place where you can choose the gender. Christine |
