Being single at 40 has been...different. A, dare I say it, "middle aged" man with his own house, own car, career, and actual furniture that isn't composed of pizza boxes or salvaged from the curb seems to have an innate appeal that requires very little work to capitalize on....
And what's with so many of the younger ladies being attracted to older guys? I'm a geek, for God's sake. I'm hardly a Carey Grant, by any stretch of a drug fueled, and possibly hunger crazed imagination.
Is it just me, or have any of you other gentlemen found this to be the case?

I have not found this to be the case. As I have journeyed through my 40s though (I'm 44) I do seem to attract women in their 40s and 50s very easily, in spite of (or because of) being married.
