Hugs to both of you.  I am blessed to still have both my parents who celebrate 64 years of marriage in September.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

i became a wife at 16 and a mother at 17 and raised 6 children. I have long looked forward to truning 50 (next year) because I knew by then I would have some freedom. I love being older, I am free to explore who I am, try new things, meet new people and just take time to care for myself. I am going back to school in January to complete my BA. Life is a wonderful adventure.

Welcome to Aging Gracefully (at least I think you are new to the forum).  Getting older does allow us some freedoms.  Children are raised and we can play with the grand-kids, spoil them, then give them back to their parents.  Wink
