I am putting this out here in case anyone is interested.  Would any of you like to have a board book club?  We would have to vote on a title and everyone would have to read it and then discuss it?  It will be tricky getting everyone to agree on a book and everyone finding the title to read.  We do this at the library every once in a while.

Anyone interested?

Hey appy20,

You might want to scroll the the Bookclub Groups (five pages of clubs) before you start something that already exists, but if none of the books being discussed interests you, and you want to start something new, I might be interested depending on what you pick.

Do you have any suggestions for what you want to read, and the kind of time line you are thinking of setting?

I was thinking about doing one for board regulars.  The problem with groups is that you have to join and that would exclude anyone who just pops in.

I may be interested. I'd like to hear more. Any books in mind?

Actually, it would be cool if we could get a number of suggestions from everyone who wishes to participate.

I don't keep up with the best seller lists very well, so I would enjoy reading about anything.  One new book I do plan on reading, if it's anyone else's cup of tea, is the new Odd Thomas.

For a long time I have wanted to go back and read some Tolkien and CS Lewis - I haven't delved into any of those works since jr. high, and have been wanting to!

They don't have to be best sellers.  My reading taste is eclectic and rarely a best seller title.

So, we have one recommendation for Odd Thomas.

I didn't know there was a new "Odd Thomas" out, but I would certainly be in for that one.

I have been thinking of reading Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy. I also have looked at Body Surfing by Anita Shreve, as a "summer read."
