What are some movies that you watch over and over again?
I just bought Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I never tire of that movie. The sheer beauty of it is poetry to me. I used to check it out of the library and play it over and over again. Now, I own it. I haven't watched it this year at all but I probably will tonight.
Generally, I am not a movie person. I go with my friends for the fun of it more than anything (although I have enjoyed nearly all of them more than I thought I would).
Any movies that appeal to any of you like that?

I love to re-watch all the Harry Potters. Over and over and so on. Ghostbusters, and Shawn of the dead. Beckett I would watch again. Guilty conscious w/Anthony Hopkins. I think Harry has a type of poetry. They all do, really.

I love movies, and on some days I watch three or four. There aren't many films I could watch repeatedly, though, mainly because there are so many I haven't yet seen.
I'd say "seasonal" films like "The Exorcist" and "The Omen" are good for viewing around Halloween time. And I love Ellen Bustyn, so I could watch "Requiem for a Dream," "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" and "Resurrection" repeatedly. For drama, "Ordinary People" and "The Notebook" bear repeat viewings. And for sheer zaniness, "Napoleon Dynamite" rocks my world.

For Seasonal pictures, (I didn't think about that until Warped reminded me) I do have quite a few that I like to watch over and over again I love Nightmare Before Christmas. I love Christmas Story. That one always makes me laugh. A Wonderful Life is another one. The original How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I like Harold and Maude with the themes of embracing the joy of life and unconditional love.

Yes, "Harold and Maude" is a film I can watch repeatedly, and "Being There" is in the same vein. Mostly of Robert Altman's films are like that too, especially "Nashville."

I too, love "Shaun of the Dead," and "It's a Wonderful Life". The others that I can watch over and over are "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," "Fried Green Tomatos," and "Bridget Jones Diary." I never thought I would like that one at all, but I do. I guess it's because I can identify with never being quite "cool" enough. I am the type who would trip in high heels and who may end up with lettuce in her teeth when out to dinner with a "special" someone! Plus, I almost SWOON over Colin Firth!

I'm a self-confessed movie-holic, and I am one to re-watch favorites over and over. Some because I always find something new, others because it's like curling up with a good book - it's an old friend. There are faves I will watch on TV, even if I have the video or DVD, I just can't help myself.
all the Harry Potters, definitely.
Both Bridget Jones
