Well, Callielou:

The world will be just one huge happy poor country governed by the United Nations.

Your country doesn't pay its dues. So that's not gonna happen!

I'm just angry at our government over here.

If your government were of the people, then you would be angry at yourself!

This is suppose to be a fun thread.

This is the bus thread, and I recently took a bus photo. So I posted it. Smile

I'm having trouble getting this site to recognise my posts!

I had recently taken a bus photo, and so posted it.

The United States doesn't pay its United Nations dues. So the UN won't dominate the US!

And I much prefer discussion on open forum.

I am unable to get this thread to update showing my response. I prefer to discuss openly on forums. And my bus Web site banner photo, I took a week ago. The US doesn't pay its dues to the UN. So were the UN to try eating the US, then it would suffer indigestion!

You're welcome Karma. We can write each other any time you like.

Yes, clicking the box for showing newest posts first is definitely the way to go!! Much easier that way.

My, I wouldn't know where to start with all of the magnificant art and such the world has offered for centuries. It would be a dull place without them. Just think about all of the beautiful art, music, inventions, cures, and etc. we have to enjoy because of talents of many that they shared with us.

Hi Callielou:

talents of many

On Saturday, I introduced my Vietnamese helper's family to an Ethiopian neighbour and a local Pakistani woman. Tell me about your multicultural locale.

magnificant art

I showed the Nguyen family my prize-winning artworks. Tell me about your exhibited art.

inventions

India invented the zero, without which we would be doing accounts in Roman numerals! Arabia gave us mathematics and science. Algebra and alcohol are Arabic loan-words! China invented paper money, gunpowder, and oil drilling.

cures

Surgery was advanced in ancient Egypt. What do you admire in other peoples?

Wow Karma, that is way too much for one response for me. lol

You spoke of ancient Egyptian surgery. They actually performed brain surgery and they also invented the first computer system. Amazing, isn't it? All of that knowledge was lost through the ages only to surface again just recently.

The composers such as Tchaikovsky, which is my favorite. Beethoven, Mozart and so many others that gave us beautiful classical music that lives on today. Even the pop and rock music makers gives us pleasure. I know it does me. lol

G'day Callielou:

You mentioned musical composers. Unfortunately I consider myself musically illiterate. Embarassed

Akira Kurosawa was my favourite film director.

And I am in the same political quadrant as Nelson Mandela.

Karma, I don't care for the Hollywood scene or crowd, so I don't keep up with new films and haven't for several years.

Callielou:

Last night my portrait sketches were described by friends as impressionist caricatures!

In which style is your art?
