I have parents who really don't want me to convert to any religion except what I was born with and won't let me even bring religious books besides the Bible into the house. I just can't believe their Christianity though. They're fine with other religions besides theirs, as a long as a child of theirs does not have one. I kind of want to convert to Reform Judaism (unofficially) since that matches what I believe very exactly and makes me feel this weird good thing just thinking about. I am detached from my family and don't really care about my relationship with them all that much (which wouldn't be exactly 100% screwed even if I told them I wanted to be a different religion) but I am unfortunately dependent on them due to the law. Has anyone else faced a similar situation or have any good advice?
