I am throwing myself from a bridge after I post this....



From the forest in which my soul belongs,
To the river at which it sings,
I am a part of the earth.

From the tarcmac on which I step daily,
To the mowed and poisoned lawns which I tend,
I reject that which I am forced to become.

In the wrong time,
In the wrong place,
I long for something deeper,
I long for the mysteries of the world.

Trapped in a sea of civilization,
One of few, who see the lie,
I long for the freedom of what is suppose to be,
Yet isolated in a sea of civilization,
I bear the scar that is my life.

I look to the past to comfort me,
And look to those who do the same,
I find comfort in the return to the old,
I find solace in the religion of the grove.

The spirit of the oak,
The song of the forest,
The melody of the rushing stream,
My home lies in the ebb of the seasons,
And the flow of the winds.

My life is the call of the old way,
The poetry of spirit's ascent,
My life is the transcendent,
And the growing.

I reach for the horizon,
And my grasp is nearly there...

I am one with the God
and the great Goddess
the solid athame and the round chalice
the sun and the moon
the stable earth and the heaven near
all the sabbats and esbats of the year
the bitter seas and the blazing fire
water emotion, heat to inspire
for they are my parents my Goddess and God
the great oceans and the heaven abroad.
