Ok I am kind of new to this. I have never done a ritual and I would love to know how for the Solstice or Yule.

There is no right or wrong way to do a ritual. The most important thing is that is personalized and you feel comfortable with it. Start simple. I would recommend designing your own.

The thing is....commercialized Christmas is very similar to how the Pagans of Northern Europe celebrated Yule. The candles, holly, tree, wreaths, they all have pagan associations, so feel comfortable with mixing it into what you may do already for Christmas.
As for ritual. It is not a top priority in most Pagan religions and can be anything. Most of my rituals deal with a simple prayer and offering on my altar. For others, it could be something as simple as helping the community (yes, it is a ritual if it has spiritual meaning) by donating food or donating toys to those children who's families can't afford it. If it helps humanity (or nature), it is the greatest thing you can offer to your gods, not complicated rituals.
