And Bishop Sutton needs to lose his job. Bishop Cook's election was, at the very least, "irregular".

Whatever became of background checks?  Internet programs for background checks can be purchased at a reasonable fee.  The suffragen bishop's background is telling:  she was previously arrested for driving while extremely drunk, with vomit down the front of her shirt.  In the car the police found an open bottle of booze, a bong, and a bag of weed.

This woman has a serious, uncontroled addiction problem.  Why wasn't this revealed during the search process?  How could she even consider putting her name in the ring for episcopal consecration?  She doesn't qualify for a driver's licence; certainly not a bishop's miter.  Throw the book at her and at whoever "researched" her background.    This whole story is tragic and revolting.

Fully agree. And Bishop Sutton knew of all of this, and he alone decided it was not necessary information for those voting  on Cook. If this goes full bore, he should be brought up before an ecclesiastical court. But what are the odds of that?
