Is there love without the supernatural?  If so, where does it come from and what makes it real.  (And saying just because you feel it doesn't make it so.  People of faith feel things too but you'd argue against their feelings being real.)  Atheists are getting a pass on love.  They'll believe in it but give no explanation for it as if it's a given.  But yet they'll live their life by it like everybody else.

Love is a human emotion and originates within ourselves. It is one of a number of emotional responses to other humans, and there's nothing remotely supernatural about it. A feeling is real as long as you feel it. Atheists have never said that theists' feelings aren't real.

I have never read or heard a atheist say theist's feeling were not real. Ever.


This entire post makes no sense. People love, people experience an entire gamut of feelings and emotions.


What the heck does  "Atheists are getting a pass on love. " mean?

Of course there is. Since the "supernatural" doesn't exist the only other source of love is from within. It appears that those that do believe in the "supernatural" don't have much love for those that don't believe. If love did come from a god thing then believers would be showing much more love than hate.

If the "supernatural" is required for love, wouldn't ghosts, faires or The Great Green Arkleseizure be every bit as responsible as someone's version of god?

Love is simply another basic human survival mechanism hijacked and perverted by shamans, priests and other charlatans in the service of their con which usually involves some supernatural imaginary thing frequently called God.  But as noted it may be called "Cupid" or "Eros" or sundry other imagined myths.
