Long discusses why many New agers do not become Hindu formally. I think that he missed one reason why they don't convert. That reason is the lack of any serious proselytization activity by Hindu organizations.

That depends on a definition of 'hindu'. In media ISKCON is mostly considered a hindu organization. From traditional pov it's a Vaisnava organization. While hindu is vague, Vaisnava is specific.
