I befriended her some time ago and she does post some interesting this from time to time about the plight of atheists in the USA. freethoughtblogs.com/greta/2012/03/21/at... This was at the end of the article: "You know what atheists have to do to avoid offending people? NOT EXIST."

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious.
