Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney looks like the GOP Nominee.

GOP front-runner Mitt Romney won Maine's Republican presidential caucuses with 39 percent of the vote, breaking a three-state losing streak by besting libertarian-leaning Ron Paul, who finished a close second with 36 percent

I find it kind of odd.  With the world economy such a mess, one would think the Republicans would be shoe-ins.  But there theme song this year seems to be "Send in the Clowns."

Why are the Republicans let the loud mouth nutcases dictate to the rest of the party?  They are not all nutcases, after all. Although as long as Santorum and Gingrich keep getting wins, I'll have to wonder.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard was not what I meant...

Seems to me you have to go far back in time to find republican politicians who are not nut cases. All they seem to care about these days is eliminating womens rights, minority rights, various freedoms, and pushing for a theocracy in their own personal religion. Eliminating the poor, sick and weak (and I mean kill off, when I say eliminate) A scary number of voters want them to continue to do so.

If it were not so dangerous and frightening, it could be funny. But it is not funny.

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle
