Here's an article about what's happening in Maldives, half of whose islands have resort developments which are so hot, tourists are paying up to $12,000/night.  However, because an Islamist group objects to the spas - which they consider hook-up spots for prostitution - the government has ordered all spas shut down.  Can you just hear the wind being sucked out of the sails of the Maldivan ecnomy - during the worst worldwide recession in half a century?
