LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson is one of the 10 "Most Admired Men," according to an annual poll of Americans by Gallup.

President Monson is joined on the list by U.S. President Barack Obama, former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, the Rev. Billy Graham, Pope Benedict XVI and American business icons Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

"It is common for the president of the Mormon Church to receive mentions, but (President) Monson is the first to make the top 10," wrote Gallup managing editor Jeffrey Jones in its blog.

The results are based on a Dec. 15-18 USA Today/Gallup poll that asked Americans to name, without prompting, the person they most admire living in any part of the world.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was named the "Most Admired Woman" in the Gallup poll.

Thank you for posting that WWA.  Here is something for you:

Let me get this straight.

President Monson made a top-ten list of most admired men that also included Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush?  And number one on the list of most admired women was Hillary Clinton?

Allow me a moment to snicker.

I wonder how many Republicans admire Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.  I wonder how many democrats admire George W. Bush.

I wonder how many hats they had to throw a rock into to arrive at these results.
