Many of us are driven to seek past the stuff that doesn't add up. The Jesus we learn about, his stories and sayings we can't help but consider and meditate upon.
Very often that Jesus seems to get lost in Patriarchy. His instructions get shelved to hang onto the rules and traditions an all male hierarchy set in place nearly 300 years after his time on Earth, wedging themselves firmly between the divine I Am and the people. -Even if it meant breaking commandments given by Moses and Jesus' own commandments! Afterall, it was foremost a religious empire they were intent on building to ensure Rome's dominion over peoples and nations.
Unfortunately, by twisting the scriptures to suit their agenda, they chose ignorance as Mother over Wisdom, and rejected the cornerstone, Christ. It was the truth of Peter's words claiming that Jesus was the Christ, that Jesus would build his church upon, not the man Peter. Did they forget God is no respecter of persons? Jesus made it clear he was the Logos. Words reveal the truth of the heart. Thoughts are energy, and words -a morphing of thought into reality.
It is the struggle to understand, to know, to be in relationship, that many quest for more. In this regard, I've read many ancient scriptures, stories, and have pondered past the veil Patriarchy puts upon the Western mind.
One of the texts nearly lost to us, is the Gospel of Mary, Jesus' beloved. Oh yeah, he was truly human and divine and loved women! Just imangine! This causes undue stress on the Patriarchal mindset, because in ignorance they step upon, supress, and use women to fulfill base desires without celebrating with them in joy and peace. Some have risen above as Christ did 2000 years ago and can know a woman as a partner, the ying to the yang, ya know?
In their attempt at world dominion, the religion that rose in Christ stead, killed, tortued, burnt people and books, even the Library in Alexandria. And today play coy and innocent; which would be fine if they dropped the beast of Patriarchy, but it's part of them. We are all just to turn our hurts into alms.
There've been three copies of the Gospel of Mary unearthed. None of them complete. As it turns out though, there were peoples from the Languedoc reagion of France who kept the whole as their Gospel. They've been persecuted through the centuries and have finally shared their Gospel with the rest of us. Hallelujah!!!
It's called "The Gospel of the Beloved Companion, the complete Gospel of Mary Magdalene" by:Jehanne de Quillan, and it makes sense of all that didn't! It takes away nothing and fulfills everything. Check it out at Amazon.com
The biggest thing is that you work toward perfecting yourself; finding within everything you had assumed external. The Kingdom, the Lord, All, and to see it without or enter it must be from within. Time, place, and personage, are all relative, inclusive, and transcendable.
That may not make sense, but it will! Blessings, B
