Caesar from the new planet of the apes movie is hiding in a tree as a bunch of other apes are being caught by poachers and such.  Bad guy sees the ape and wants to catch him, curious about his intelligence.  I am a human who is playing dead as poachers are about to hack off the feet of gorillas.  I decide to look up and as I see it, I suddenly turn into Nicholas Cage and start screaming and yelling and crying along with Caesar.  Two gorillas are coming my way, and though I know them to be forgiving and compassionate towards humans, I also am frightened of their potential desire for revenge.

Has no one tried to help you with this yet?  I sympathize with you regarding your bizarre dreams.  Could it be that you are being tested?    Perhaps you are just trying to keep a record?  Unfortunately, I have no gift of interpreting dreams, nor can I determine of what entity is influencing this dream.  Hopefully someone will be able to help you out.

I would be happy to work with someone's dream. This dreamer does not ask for any help. If people have questions, they ask them.

I am not as fast at dreamwork as I used to be. The dreamer knows best. An outsider may have more skills than a dreamer who hasn't studied dreamwork. However, the life backgroung and the loads of experience from which the dream is derived cannot be known to an outsider, no matter how skillful a dream reader may be. It is quite obvious that the themes of a dream arer open to everybody to see, but themes are only one part of the dream.

Dreams are sometimes clear, but they are often confusing. Jumg says in MAN AND HIS SYMBOLS that dreams are the psyche working on compensating for the extremes it is experiencing. He gives the example of a person with low self esteem who has lunch with Alexanfer thhe Great in a dream. This "compensating" isn't everything going on in a dream, but it is a clue as to part of the psychological aspect: the dream helps to balance things out.

In the book that I learned dreamwork skills, dream action (an active response to the dream aftetr examination) completes the dreamwork. What good is an insight from a dream if we don't use it?. The book points out from Jung that the unconscious arises at times with inner information to help us make decisions with our lives. The dreamer appearing in the dream and what she or he does in it reflects the way the dreamer responds, passiuvely or actively, to the forces in his or her life. So, in the above dream, we can see that the dream is wondering about this and that and passively watching the action, (whatever the actions may mean). I would guess from this that the dream is a young adult, sifting out values, wondering if he should become himself which may bring guilt if the movement in that direction should differ from the norms and conventions that he has been brought up in. It is impossible and probably not necessary to say more than this without input from the dreamer.

I am a "young adult" and I am sifting through a lot of things.  I am trying to be more active in my life.  Other than that interpretation, I'm not sure how to go for this dream.
