The Western World all celebrates Easter the same way, but few outside the Heathen and Pagan community remember the origins of Easter and the story of how she acquired her famous bunny.  Here is the tale of Easter (the Saxon name for Ostara) and the Dancing Bunnies.

Easter Eggs with bindrunes.  Bottom two are for Easter/Ostara and her bunny, they join the runes Gebo (gift) and Wunjo (joy) to match the gift of joy they bring each year.  In pink is the egg for my wife, with Fehu (prosperity) and Wunjo (joy or good outcome) wishing her all hapiness and success this year.  For one of my kindred who wishes to become pregnant is the purple egg crafted.  Othala (family) frames the blessing bindrune of Berkana (birth), Ingwaz (female form of the fertility rune) and Wunjo (joy or good outcome).
