It depends on the Belief System.  Some cannot escape from their Belief System in anything they do.  Others have a more rational response to the challenges of life in their society, and can respond appropriately to the mores of the larger society.

Apropos nothing....   When I first started posting on this board (or, strictly, on the board which evolved into this one; 10 years ago I'd guess) the moderator was a Maltese.  Can anyone remember what nom de plume he used?

I'm afraid it doesn't (jog the brain cells, that is).  But at my time of life, they really need a bit more than a mere jog.


So you've been coping with us for 8 years or so have you? 10 out of 10 for longsuffering, then.  And thanks, too.


But if any long-time posters have a better memory than mine, I'd still be grateful for a reminder.
