These cottages are close together.
The rear has a courtyard.

The seller's agent said that I will need to get a letterbox and drapes, and make a garden.
A forestry graduate suggested: • flowers at the front; • green plants at the side; and • vegetables at the back.

The creek was flooded last Saturday. And the ground at the back of the house was muddy!

I would appreciate advice on reducing cost of living. How can one remain vibrant despite financial belt-tightening?

A walk-way between front and back runs beside the house. In the middle of it is an alcove for drying laundry. It runs northwest to southeast. It is bounded on each side by brick walls. One of those being the neighbouring house, I have been advised to avoid drilling! I expect this zone to be shaded and wind-proof. So I had thought of turning it into a fernery. Ideas are welcome.

My conveyancing clerk phoned me this morning. The registration was yesterday. And settlement will be on the 11th of November. He told me that I would need the neighbour's permission before doing anything to their wall. So I thought of a bamboo screen. Ideas welcome.

Today a student helper and I stored a filing cabinet, a set of bookshelves, and a box of files and paintings. My landlord had two hired hands busily mowing lawns!
