Great article Cal. While I am not familiar with Erskine College, I have certainly witnessed the whole Rodney King thing going on. In the Christian Reformed Church the refrain of the liberals is always "Can we all just get along?" They portray anyone who points out heresy to be a trouble maker and you know Jesus doesn"t like trouble makers. The majority of members sit passively in the pews and feel like they don't have the knowledge necessary to stand up to the leadership or they are just into conflict avoidance. |

It is ordained leaders- ministers, ruling elders and deacons- who don't keep their vows to maintain the purity, peace and unity of the church, who are most at fault. Peace and unity are impossible without concern for doctrinal and moral purity, based upon the unique authority of God's word, and the essential tenets of the Reformed confessions. |
