A committed relationsip, whether it is an engagement, a common law marriage or a legal marriage, is a covenant between two people who trust one another. Snooping is a definite no-no! If trust is not the basis of your relationship, then you don't have a real relationship.

Any sex therapist who recommends snooping is 'way off base! Is it just me, or does the fact that sex therapists have a role to play in our society indicate that there's too much enphasis on sex? When I got married 49 years ago, my mother reminded me that sex is 10% of a good marriage and 90% of a bad one. Anyone who feels the need the need to snoop and invade a partner's privacy already has a relationship that is in trouble.

"God is no captious sophister, eager to trip us up whenever we say amiss, but a courteous tutor, ready to amend what, in our weakness or our ignorance, we say ill, and to make the most of what we say aright."  from 'A Learned Discourse on Justification', a sermon by Richard Hooker (1554-1600).
