Hello Wendy (and readers)...isn't this a great idea? Think of each week representing one pound lost...4 sticks of butter melting away slowly. Lily |

Dear Lily: I love your post! I like the idea of an all girl's vacation by the water. Use whatever thoughts work for you. Keep a positive thought journal in your heart. Act as if you are a size 10, be joyful and happy. I think women need a time out to be with fellow sisters and just be free. Now that is a girl power theme! I love when you say that it gets better and better with your lady friendships. As a little girl I never went to a pajama party. (Your happy memories do remind me of my sister's fun). But I participated in my sister's because I had to babysit the girls. That was so much fun. Games of Clue, make up, and just happy chatter. Thank you for your wise advice. You are right about work. I have to have more play time. I do like the wellness walk because I use my imagery of my favorite wrestler walking by my side. It keeps me going. I joke with my friend, Darlene, that the last time I saw a good looking man was in 1979. Humor helps in diffusing stress. I am reading a wonderful book by Ms. Patti Spanger, the famous matchmaker. She speaks about happy thoughts during dating detox, which I'm doing now. (I want to get physically better and she speaks about detoxing from negative dating experiences by focusing on inner love and empowerment. I will stay away from dating for one month and I'm happy. No stress.). I feel to cut down on my emotional eating I need to focus on the positive. I did have one slip up with M&M's. My little Munchie has to go in for bladder surgery this Friday. I love that little cat. I found out last Saturday and only had a slip up with sweets yesterday. Back on track. Thank you for the spiritual reminder. God wants me healthy. I need to be healthy so I can take care of my life in a positive way. The matchmaker had a fun exercise of writing down the simple pleasures, which enhances the relationship with one's inner self. It is fun. Well, Lily, thank you so much. Your post was truly awesome. Love, Wendy (Sabrina) PS: I made this post pink to honor girl power! Way to go. When we acknowledge our own sacredness with God, we value ourselves more. Lily, your post was wonderful. |

The Sacred Garden of God By Wendy Jennifer Gabriella Schuljan
There is a sacred garden within our heart. God has planted many seeds of love there. It is up to us to cultivate this garden with tenderness and care. We were created to spread seeds of Christian hope and dignity. The secret to a meaningful life is quite easy... To make a difference in a world hungry for food, shelter and love, To reach out to a child needing hope from above, God's love is abundant and so should we be. Nothing beautiful grows in a garden of greed!
The garden has many flowers... We have a choice in what ones to grow. Stinkweeds and hemlock have no place there. But roses give off the sweet scent of love everywhere. There are daffodils and lilacs, too. But the greatest plants are vegetables and fruits. The peach tree is sweet like a happy face. The lemon tree is bitter but with a positive attitude can be quite good. God has given us free will. We should plant His love in solid ground. Behold the splendor! The harvests of pumpkins and spice permeate the air. The garden has many flowers... We should never plant despair.
The greatest garden is the one Christ planted in us. Faith the size of a mustard seed can grow and grow and grow. His tears of compassion keep us watered with security. He is always with us... The Master Gardener and the Vine! Sweet Love Divine!
There is much wisdom in a secret garden!

Good Monday morning...it wasn't possible to stick to my plan this week-end. Between my birthday and mother's day...I had no control. My kids, my friends...restaurants, cakes, candy, BBQ...all wonderful but an impossible situation as far as food went. So it's Monday morning and I am determined to do it right now that I'm back in charge. |

Dear Lily: Happy Birthday to you! You are an angel to our group. Lily, do not feel bad about your birthday and Mother's Day. I have also indulged on Mother's Day. I love my Mom and I feel in my heart that it is okay to celebrate. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Moms have a special place in my heart. I feel they are the closest thing to God's unconditonal love on our planet. God bless you for being a Mom and rejoicing with other Moms on that special day. I am being good on Monday. I have been counting calories. I allow myself 1200. I like your grace idea before each meal. When I have hunger urgers which are caused due to emotional strain, I write a poem instead or listen to music. I am keeping a close journal, so I shall share my entry so far.

I finally got here! I had a gastric bypass few years ago and I lost over 150 lbs. I have gained 50, in the last year, after the death of my mother. I want to get back on track and I read your post. Somehow, it made sense to my inner self. So here I am! |
