I was wondering if any of you would be willing to share your experiences of interacting with the Buddhist community in your area and what to expect from a temple or center.

I'm very nervous about going to a Buddhist function. I'm afraid of making a faux pas and embarrassing myself. Also, I'm a bit shaky with my knowledge of Buddhism and don't want to make a mistake there.

If you guys could share some of your experiences to let me know kind of like what to expect or how to act, that sort of thing, I'd very much appreciate it.
