Generally the mist clears a bit and I find physical self frozen in time and observing OBE self in a forest clearing next to an enormous living tree. (sometimes i arrive on waveworn beach other times a mountain top but no matter the setting that tree is there else a ladder that goes into sky as well as into hole in earth.) By the way as i stand there i do occasionally see what most would call ghosts ie floating apparitions some are well defined others just floating smokey swirling blobs. I have also seen these basketball sized orb like things floating around... these orb spirits are multicolored and seem to pulse ie change from one color to another over the course of time..  there are all sorts of ethereal things floating around going in and out of tree.. these multicolored orbs occasionally make noises akin to joik or a gibberish chant and when they do so objects appear as if by sung into creation by tspirits. As these "things" "spirits" whatever u wanna call em move by I can sense their "essence" ie some are friendly and others obviously dangerous.

Awesome posts, very similar with my experience, you being Apache this doesn't surprise me. I sense the negative forces by emotional shift also. It iz much like being apart of a landscape, you no longer count your eye site, you are feeling the thingz you encounter with your emotions.
