I know the first time I saw this gift in motion I was quite amazed, it is indeed quite accurate if done correctly.

So are we experiencing a lack of interest or was it merely an overlooked post?

Just saw the above posts today. I had never heard of Physcometry before. I noticed you put "intuition enhancement" in the brackets too, could this be an exercise to enhance intuition? Enhancing my intuition is something I'm really interested in. Right now I think I have a little bit of a problem deciphering my "intuition" and my "imagination"--based on my own inner desires. Anything I can do that can get my objective intuition going would be great.

I've never had anyone do a reading on me just by holding something of mine. However, I have experienced the technique being used in tandem with the tarot cards. Any of the times that I've ever had cards read for me in real life, the reader has always asked for something of mine to hold as s/he does the reading. Almost all of them have said that something metal works best because it conducts energy better than other materials. As Wind mentioned, they have usually preferred something personal, such as a ring or watch or other piece of jewelry that has been in recent, close contact with the skin, but even car keys have worked quite well. It seems that they are able to tell rather quickly whether they are getting any vibes from the object.

Wind, I always read these types of threads that you post as I am curious to learn about many new things. I soak it all up like a sponge and hope that someday I'll reach the point of "saturation" and it will start coming back out in some usable form for me. Meanwhile, I rarely have anything to add because I haven't been able to experience what I can only describe as "deliberate intuition" of anything in the way that you and others here are able to achieve.

We spell it Psychometry here and use it to great effect all the time.  It is a wonderful teaching tool for newcomers as all items hold energy.  By the way, one of the most interesting item given to me to use was a credit card (perhaps they were hoping for a nil balance. lol) another being a simple wooden bowl.  Both of which have stories attached to them. 

I saw a presentation from a British couple who had worked with a Psychometrist in England on some items belonging to Robert Burns the poet.  It was very effective and interesting. 

As we use all our senses during psychic sensitivities or intuitive awareness the touch - both tactile and emotional - have a strong part to play in Psychometry.

Now of course there indeed may be those who have find just the opposite, but I would suggest if so they are few and very far between.

Many of us tend to forget that when given the toughest of choices to make, if we truly listen to what lies within, we have no trouble  answering our own delima's in life.
Generally it is my belief we tend not to trust ourselves near as much as we should when it pertains to our major life questions!

Now an actual reading on general outcomes is always hard to do on oneself, no matter how gifted the may be.  Being able to help others in need is often what I consider a fairly good trade off though......wouldnt you agree?;)
