Helo all,
I actually vacillate and would only fit in to the matheist category on occasion but since I came over to check y'all out here is a poem that I wrote some time back elsewhere in one of my matheist moods:

God is Evil

God: an evil grinning Cheshire Cat
licking the remnants of my obliterated heart
as it drips
from the lips
surrounding it's wicked grimace.

Thanks for coming by. The forum is pretty dead these days. Maybe a little more poetry would liven things up!

Hey, Amy. Glad you decided to drop by. Thanks for adding one of your poems. I haven't read back that far on the "Poetry" Forum, so I had missed that one.

As I mentioned to you, I'm also known here as a "fence-sitter" (a friendly jab by my buddy, Mohanchous ;)), but I still like knowing that there is a safe place to come and spew forth when I'm having those Dys/Maltheist moments.

Hey, Mohanchous!!!! So, what can we do to resuscitate this place?

Mohanchous, last I read, Whichone was going on a trip to Japan with her husband's parents. Plus, they were still in the process of building their new house on her in-laws' land. Her job was keeping her quite busy, but I expect she'll be dropping in again sometime.

Hello, I am still here everyone.  I am back from Japan, but ask is correct I have been too overwhelmed by work and building our new house.  To save thousands and thousands of dollars, we have done most of the work ourselves and with free labor from friends and family.  It seems endless, but alas there has to be an end because my mother-in-law has already found a new renter for the place we are currently living in.  She told the new renters that they can move in February 1, 2009.  So regardless of whether we are done with the house.......AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!  We have to move by January so that we can repair the rental and put the yard back inorder.  It has become weed infested because we have been obsessed with building the new house.  After 14 years in this rental some maintence repairs need to be done.  AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET IT ALL DONE???!!!???!!!  I am just here because as a State worker, I have election day off.  We worked hard all weekend.  I am too tired to do anymore work today.  My husband is on duty, so I don't have to slave away at the house.  I should be pulling weeds, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning the bathroom, but I am just too exhausted.  I would watch TV, but I can't stand anymore election coverage.  I voted this morning and I haven't turned on the TV or radio all day.  Honestly, I have napped a lot today.  I came here to avoid all election coverage.  I hope to read who the President of the United States will be in 2009 in the papers tomorrow.

My State is having huge budget cuts.  They have a hiring freeze and there is a good chance that I will be laid off and jobless for 2009.  If that happens you will see me here a lot.  My husband is a firefighter so I expect to still be able to afford internet when I am laid off.  There will probably be big gaps in my posts here on beliefnet, but I love the maltheism forum.  Without it I couldn't be free to express my distrust and dissatisfaction with God.  I like knowing that other people can speak freely of their negative feelings toward God here.  This is the only place that I can speak about my true feelings, so I will always return eventually.  By the way, when did beliefnet stop being beta?

Welcome back, Whichone!

Wow! Lots of pressure with the house. I hope you are wrong about getting laid off in 2009. As far as keeping the internet if you do get laid off, you'll need it to job search. Give up the cable/satellite TV instead.

P.S. My screen still shows "beliefnet® COMMUNITYBETA" at the very top left of the screen. However, there has been an "Administrator Thread" running at the top of the forums' home pages about previewing the coming changes in appearance. (IMHO, it's akin to covering a dish of crap with whipped cream and trying to convince everyone it's chocolate souffle.)

LOL.....I guess Beta disappeared from my screen for just one day.  It says Beta again, just in the forum section.  The home page doesn't say beta.  I tried to post some the next two days, but I kept getting error messages saying that I wasn't logged in, yet it said on the top of the page, Welcome Whichone!....LOL,  How could they welcome me if I were not still logged in?  I tried to send them a print screen picture of the error in word......but LOL they apparently are unable to open WORD documents, beliefnet techs don't have computers that can open WORD documents even Apple computers can open word documents now.  They recommended that I submit error pictures as jpg.  Today, I seem to be able to post.

Hi ask and whichone. Good to see you're both still around.

I haven't really been too forthcoming with my personal situation, but I suppose you're friends now, so

In 1998, we bought a house that we hoped would be our permanent residence. In 2002, I lost my job and couldn't find a decent job for 5 years. During that time, my wife refinanced the house to keep it, but it was an ARM (adjustable rate mortgage), and she was deceived that the terms were pegged to prime rate, when they were in fact pegged to credit rating, etc. So as prime fell, our mortgage rate increased from 1100 to 1675 a month, and even though I had found a job in 2007, we couldn't pay our mortgage and were foreclosed. We managed to sell our house in May 2008, two days before the foreclosure would have happened, but we lost our entire investment in the house, and were left with no savings. We moved into the first crappy apartment we could find in two days, and after four months, we have just moved to another crappy but cheaper apartment. God I am so sick of moving furniture. For the moment, we are treading water financially, but we are one job away from ruin.

Hope life is good with you all.
