That this board is dead. There used to be so many posts on the old beliefnet, and now look... Nothing. That's why I say this board is dead and it doesn't look like it's going to come back to life any time soon.

Hey, if it helps, most of the other "Teen" boards are in much the same condition.

Hi guys.

Don't despair!  I've been a member of the Buddhist Teens board for about five years.  If I may speak from experience, the board always dwindles and resurges.  I cannot speak for other teen boards, but with a little bit of patience and regular posting by members, the community will be revitalized sooner or later.

For my part, I have started a thread known as The Mural, which, while I don't expect people to be too enthused about it, may help to establish a sense of community.  I usually only post in response to other people's questions, since, at twenty, I am no longer truly a teen and my present experience is a bit different from the majority of people who tend to be active on this board.  As a person whose involvement with Buddhism began at age fifteen, I do feel that I can still contribute on a certain level, but it is mostly time to step back and let the community be carried on by the next "generation".

So, keep posting!  Make your mark on The Mural, if you like.  It doesn't matter if you have a question or something that you think other posters will be interested in; if you have THOUGHTS, those are interesting enough to post.  It doesn't matter if you get few to no responses; posting is activity, which is what keeps the community alive.  The more posting visitors see, the more encouraging it is for them to post.  Every time you consider posting, consider that this is your community and it's in your hands!
