Hi!
Mongo here from the Magic Bus. What do Christadelphians believe is the fate of that unfortunate majority of humans who never heard the "Gospel", heard it inadequately, or were mentally handicapped to the point they could not understand it? |

Is it "fate" to die and not be resurrected? Or is that just dying as we all do. Isn't it possible that the unresponsible (those that never heard the gospel) just are not resurrected at all? That they are not judged?

This seems a good a place as any to begin a serious discussion on conteporary issuess in faith. apart from the magic bus
But we're not out of the woods yet. Yes Jesus is the way,
the truth and the light, but I do not see him having tea with contemporary
christians. Where's the Love? Taking care of the sick as opposed to
supporting the coporations. And now with justice handed over to
the coporate oligarchy we are headed towards a repeat of the dark
ages, already we allowed two stolen elections for the price of oil in
the name of god and theocracy. "Where does the greed stop?" Our system
is broken by name calling, petty bickering and outright lies designed
to frighten the elderly and instill bigotry and hate. In this country where
christians are expelled from church for not being republican we are a disgrace
to all civilized nations and speaking of death panals (actually end of life
counseling endorsed by Bush) we are the only nation that allows
corporations to make a profit on death and illness by denying coverage.
It is a fact that if the cost of health care was removed from our imports
we would have a fighting chance in the world economy. It is time to end
this war on the middle class and take Jesus back from the pharaseas.
imho

"I do not so much free another when I forgive, as release myself from my own poison." K. B. Brown
Perhaps it is true that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely or that the love of money is indeed the root of all evil. Where religion fails miserably what notions step forth to fill the vacuum? In Roman times slaves where encouraged to pursue an education, all but for the humanities which were forbidden because this would have taught them to think for themselves. And how is our modern education any different today, drones are cranked out by the thousands with highly specialized skills that will assure them fast placement into the field of their choosing. But what happens after ten or fifteen years and it becomes time to climb the corporate ladder? They soon find they are ill equiped to think for themselves let alone do the work of upper management, so they are by no real fault of their own denied the tools of higher communication necessary to serve the larger corporation and remain a slave until the new blood is rushed in to denie them the possibility of a pension. There was a time when the american dream could be had by the middle class, but no more. Gone are the days when a man could get a job and fulfill the obligations to his family or hope to send his kids, on one income, through college. If, as you say man is inherently evil, then I think perhaps you are not seeing the big picture here upon the brink of near total economic collapse, our once great nation all for greed and profit, where if not for this gross imbalance of power that is allowed the indecency to use death for profit as health care, we might acutally have a fighting chance in the world economy. But our democracy is bent. And we are its products defective narcissistic self absorbed and spoiled by false entitlements. The native americans have a saying, that what ever we take from this planet must be returned and what of the gross national product based on a standard of living that to few of us can afford? Perhaps there are principles that are self evident in the face of so much rampant insanity, that Evil is not a force to resist but merely an opaqueness that, just as with a dirty mirror, the light cann't shine through. tl
