Hello and welcome back....it has been awhile since we last heard from you, so I was very happy to receive your message! Hope all is well with you and family,
Hi: Great to hear from you. Hope that you had a good Thanksgiving. I have been busy lately. I joined the choir so haven't been on here as often. I still teach 8th Grade Religion which I enjoy. We had a nice November here. It was mild with no snow. I hope that the weather stays nice. Can't believe that Christmas is in only a few weeks.
Peace to you always - Mark
Hi, I haven't been on in a while. You left a very inspiring comment on my profile, and I just wanted you to know that you made a good impact on me. Thank you
Hi. It almost didn't want to let me in but here I am. I hope that you had a good Easter, Friend. I am doing pretty well. I had to smile at your one commment about navigating your way around Suckville. I tried to leave a comment on that discussion but it was no-go. I have gotten back into a couple of discussions.
We had a nice spring day here yesterday. That was great. I am off to Mass in a minute so will so bye. Take care and God bless you.
Peace - Mark
Hi again Friend. It is nice because my brother has come to visit my parents so I get to see him too. He came with his youngest daughter. She is 20. I haven't seen him in a year and a half so it is a treat. My brother is also a devout Catholic but is a little bit more conservative than I am.
Peace - Mark
Greetings Friend. It was great to hear from you. Thank God that I finally got here to make a comment. I have been having trouble since the change and still am not the best at navigating the new system. Things are OK with me. I try to get to Mass at least a couple of times a week. I have only been having 2 or 3 students a week out of 10 in my Religion class. Like last year I am the only one with perfect attendance. We are doing a chapter on the Eucharist at the present time. I talk to a couple of my priest friends from time to time. It is not an easy time in our diocese. We are closing churches so that is stressful for many. Our bishop is not a pastoral man and is becoming divisive it seems. He is pro-life, which is good but I don't agree with him on some things. My one priest friend said that he respects the bishop but his public statements have become a source of intense pain for the priests. At one of our local Catholic colleges, the NAACP got a speaker for Black History Month. The man was not Catholic and he was black and gay so the guy had 3 strikes against him. The bishop pretty much said that since the college was a Catholic college it would be better to stick with Catholic speakers. The college has a Diversity Institute and our bishop asked the college to seriously consider discontinuing its Diversity Institute. It is difficult because sadly there is prejudice against gays and black people in our area. I think that the diversity of the human family and that being a diverse Church is a blessing.

God Bless you and have a wonderful day.
I read about you and I with you all the way on the problems of the world. We need to stand together and pray that people open up their eyes and heart and see the damage left behind when God is not part of our daily lives as in prayer in school. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who think of God when things aren't going their way but forget to give Him praise and thanks when things are good. I just signed up today to this site and look forward to helping and sharing with our brothers and sisters in need. Take care and God bless you
