I thought this might be a good place to meet people who, at the very least, have a worldview that takes into account more than the here and now, and more than that which can be seen, heard, or felt in the most concrete sense. I really like C. S. Lewis. I have suffered from depression from time to time, and I'm really trying to at least do the best I can of raising a secure, joyful daughter. I feel like this site may funnel those people to me who tend to be on the same "plane of thought", I guess. I'm very down to earth, genuine, and honest. Like to think I'm funny (doesn't everyone). EVERYONE except my wife thinks, but as as Cronkite used to say, "and so it goes." For those of you under 30, yes, he was one of the Beatles. It's strange to me how the older I get, the more I realize others don't have it all "together" as it may appear at first glance. It took me years to gradually realize this, which of course, makes it alot easier to talk to people about "stuff". I'm very friendly; if you like I'd love to chat.
