Go, Go, Go beyond, go thoroughly beyond, and establish yourself in enlightenment.
Why Buddhism?
Buddhism has given me the practical means to deal with the situations of the moment. My initial interest in Buddhism came at a difficult time as many of our spiritual paths start. Buddhist teaching offered practical insight and instruction of how I might transform my current experience, into a positive insight. Through the teaching of The Buddha after he had attained Enlightenment, and the wisdom to see what our world really is.
What sect do you follow?
The heart of the Awakened transcends any concept of sect. I take refuge in The Buddha, The Dharma and The Sangha until I attain Enlightenment. I am a lay Buddhist and use my resources. It does matter if you are monk, or a lay man - its purely your commitment in your practice to bring change in one's heart and mind.
So what types of meditation do you do?
The mind is difficult to tame. The mind is the root of your world. So different meditation methods have been revealed or developed according to the capacity, or the needs of each individual practitioner. I practice Shamatha (Calm-Abiding) as a primary practice, in which one concentrates on the breath, to develop a single pointedness of the mind, which later develops into means to Awaken and Insight.
