This is my "Statement of belief" from the old Bnet site. I'll update this to describe myself soon:
I have no conscious intention to believe in anything specific. There is a great dependency on belief worldwide to explain mysteries. These explanations are treated as certainty when they are not. Mystery goes in hand with a curious mind. Immaturity in seeing oneself within mystery can result in a greed for answers that act to quell insecurities. Ultimately, it does not work, no matter how attached to the tightly woven fabric of inherited ideals. These beliefs, if taken as self-identifying, become an unauthentic means to relate to others and the universe. We can become consumed with ideas and suppress spiritual awareness. Belief should represent more the idea than the person; more the mind than the spirit. It seems to me so ironic that mankind has used belief as a means to strive for some connection or experience with God and other people when belief acts as a distraction to self awareness. Man needs to learn that the spirit is not tied by an idea judged valid by the mind.
Just one more orbit around the sun since the day you entered this world. :)
