Two weeks ago I was told that my oldest daughter had been killed in a car accident.
The shock was unbelievable. How does a mother accept such news and not go to pieces?
I held on to all the joy that my daughter brought into my life for 34 years and remembered my grandson, a wonderful gift she offered us and let the grief come and go as it would.
Taking care of funeral arrangements is so much work and when you add to that all the other stuff, packing her belongings, dealing with her bank, setting something up for her son.. the days blended into one long day.
Now I am much better and the healing is happening. While I will miss her in her physical body, I am grateful for her being in my life and know that one day I will see her again.
I am now back to work and getting back to living. When one passes over life seems to stand still or blend into long periods of time. As I caught myself whistling the other day I knew I was ok. I feel her presence and know that the love we shared is, like her, eternal.
I talk with lots of people every week who are caught up in a “tug of war”.
They just don’t know how to stop fighting against and resisting good in their lives.
Now they say they want all those good things; love, money, health, happiness, but they really don’t.
What they really want is what they are getting, a tug of war.
Most of us learned as children to say no just because we could.
Parents will remember the first 100 times their little one said “NO” to
They resisted getting dressed, eating, following to the car, getting in and out of the car, on and on..
Little children do this as a way of understanding their power over
themselves and their lives. Knowing how to say no and mean it is a
good thing.. unless you just don’t learn to say yes.
There is “only a stream of well being”, says Abraham. This is all there is.
I get that most people are not experiencing it. What they are experiencing is lack and lots of it.
You don’t do it on purpose, you’re not really even aware of it.
Yet, you are still playing the game of tug of war, resisting abundance, loving relationships, health, wealth and happiness.
When you focus most of your attention on defending why something or someone is in your life.. you just ask for more of the same.
When you argue to be right rather than letting your desire for feeling good take priority, you are resisting.
We see this all around us, even in politics
these days. Rather than working together to solve a problem we create,
politicians and individuals would rather argue and prove themselves
Nothing is right about this. Arguing just to be arguing is problem creation, not problem solving.
have a tendency to create lots of “problems” for ourselves so that we
can get a better idea of what we really do want to interact with.
These problems encourage us to reach higher, think differently and make
exciting choices leading to exciting new “realities” to experience.
This is natural. What’s working against us is when you don’t know
when or how to stop problem creating and get on to the solution
Ask yourself what would happen if you just let go easily. How would
you feel? What would be the reaction of others if you stopped arguing,
stopped fighting and just chose joy?
The choice is really whether you would rather be happy or be right..
If you can stop resisting long enough to discover what would happen
if you chose joy over being right, you would discover a whole new
energy to create your life with.
Needing to be right is the ego trying to gain power. It reflects your insecurity and doubts about your self worth.
Being happy says that you are ok with you, you know how wonderful, powerful, creative and worthy you are.
America now has a brand new economic recovery plan.
There’s even a website where you can track the progress of how well
it’s working. Combined with the energy of change and hope, lots of work
and planning have gone into this new method of growth for our nation.
Now, let me ask you, have you written your recovery plan?
We all have a list of things that we would like to accomplish, dreams, goals and visions of success.
Perhaps you even hope for a wonderful relationship, a new job, car, better family relationships.
You have the problem, you know the issues.
BUT have you written your recovery plan out?
Your recover plan is the action you plan to take to bring your dreams into reality.
Hope is a wonderful and power thing, but it needs legs, feet and hands to produce change.
As a coach I get tickled when people come to me asking how they can
live the life of their dreams when they are not prepared to take
responsibility for or change a single thing in the way they think or do.
Change comes about by making new choices and doing new things, or at least doing the old things in a different way.
You never learned to do anything by reading about it, talking it
over, and dreaming of doing it. You learned by getting the information
Doing is necessary for change. It’s not going to come about by just
dreaming, wishing, hoping and thinking in positive affirmations. These
things are all wonderful and part of the process, but they are not
complete without some doing.
Get out your paper and pencil. Write out a new recovery plan for your life. Be detailed, exact in what you want to experience.
Make note of the thought processes, expectations and beliefs you need to shift in order to line up your vibration with the vibration of what you want.
Now go one step further and pass your bill into law. Take ACTION.. different action that what led you to where you are. New ACTION will lead you into a new place.
You will succeed when you write and act on your story of success.

Living in one place for a long time we
tend to gather lots of things that eventually get stuck in drawers
and the back of closets, taking up space and filling our homes with

unease that seems to be saying, “do something, anything, just DO
Starting off the new year by clearing
out this energy opens the door for a more positive flow of feelings,
thoughts and new things to move in.
Start of by committing to release at
least 50 things in a 24 hour period.
I know that sounds like a lot, but once
you get going you'll discover that it's quick and easy.
Get two boxes or garbage bags, fill one
with items that you can donate if you like and the other is just
Start in the “junk drawer” in the
kitchen. How much stuff have you crammed there thinking you would
eventually use it and never have? Release it and enjoy the feeling
that comes with letting go.
Move on to other drawers in the
kitchen. Release old butter tubs that you just have too many of.
Got more coffee cups than the cabinets
can hold? Let these go as well.
Go through the rest of the house
letting go of magazines, stashes of papers and the like.
Next get into your room. Do you have
clothes that don't fit, you don't like and haven't worn in over a
year? Let em go.
Dig through the closet and the drawers.
All socks with holes go into the bag. Undies that ride or scratch,
into the bag.
Let go of shoes too. We tend to hold
onto things because, “I paid good money for those”, or “someone
gave these to me”.
Let yourself breathe.
As you do the clearing out of physical
things from your space be aware of thoughts and habits that you have
that don't serve you as well. Are you still holding onto grudges and
old hurts and insults?
Let these go as you move through the
house releasing stuff.
When you have your fifty items in 24
hours and are still on a roll, commit to another fifty. Take on the
garage, holiday decorations, etc. Move through the yard and release
anything that's just taking up space and not giving you that feel
good feeling it did when you first placed it there.
By doing this exercise you are not only
creating a better look and feel to your home, you are opening your
life to release old emotions, pain and stinking thinking.
When you combine the physical exercise
of clearing out stuff with the spiritual aspect of clearing out
thinking and feelings, you will restore balance and harmony in your
By instilling this process into your
thinking for the new year, you will be less likely to hold onto
excess stuff and hurtful feelings, letting go much easier and
cluttering up your energy much less.
Do you ever feel that way? You just work and struggle and fight, yet.. it only gets worse.

Let’s list a few of human beings favorite things to struggle with.
Peace of mind
This list doesn’t cover everything but it covers the main things we
tend to work really hard trying to overcome in our lives. We are just
bogged down in the mentality of having to make things really, really
hard in order to deserve them.
Where does this crazy notion come from? Why would anyone want to
have to fight and struggle to be in a state of happiness, joy, bliss?
It’s because we are brainwashed by crazy thinking. Someone took a
turn in their lives and didn’t like the outcome. They didn’t understand
how the law of attraction worked so rather than changing directions
they continued to focus on how hard life was, how unlucky they were or
decided that it was just genetic. From the place of misunderstanding
they passed these ideas on to family and friends. Children learn about
life from parents and grandparents who teach them only what they know
and what’s true for them.
The problem with this is that just because something is said to be
true only means it’s true for those who believe it to be that way. You
don’t have to accept this as truth. You can declare something else as
true if and when you want to.
In coaching others I hear often about weight, health,
relationship,money issues that people are struggling so danged hard
with and all that’s happening it that it’s getting worse.
Perhaps you are struggling with weight. You’ve dieted, exercised,
taken pills.. still the body holds on to more weight than you want.
Many go from one relationship just like the last one, over and over until they feel dizzy.
You might be trying everything under the sun that you can think of to get your finances under control yet are always broke.
What’s going on here? Why is it so hard?
The simple answer is you are what’s going on in your own life creation.
Your thoughts, passions, dreads, fears, focus on what is wrong to the
extent that that is all you can attract is what’s going on.
You must stop struggling. Just let go. For a moment sit still and
take a deep breath. Take in all the air you can hold. Hold it for a few
seconds then let it escape in a big whooshing sound. Wow, that feels
great. That’s the feeling of letting go and moving with the flow of
As long as you are holding your breath, struggling and fighting
while feeling unworthy and unlucky you will continue to be just as
uncomfortable as if you were holding your breath for a long time.
It’s time you let go and stopped the struggle of your life. Be aware
of when you are fighting and struggling, you’ll know by how you feel.
Do the holding your breath exercise a few times a day to remind you to let go and let it be easy.
You are the key to everything in your life. Get clear, stay clear, be happy.. it’s your choice.
As a spiritual life coach I hear from a
lot of people who don't feel validated They are suffering with low
self esteem, feeling low and unsuccessful. This is not a good way to
feel. Waking up in the morning with nothing to look forward to,
nothing that excites you and gets your juices flowing just isn't
living, it's surviving.
You are not here to just survive, to
manage, to get through one more set of challenges.
You are here to Thrive... to be happy,
to enjoy each moment of your physical existence.
I know the feeling, I've been there.
One of the reasons I don't go there now is I don't like the way it
feels. I bet you don't like feeling low and down either. We are
Beings of joy, love, happiness and pleasure. We thrive on feeling
good. We are at our eternal best when we are excited, inspired and
You know you want to feel good. You
strive and struggle to get into that place of joy and excitement
about life. Sometimes you make it and sometimes you just can't seem
to reach that far.
Here's what I want you to do starting
right now. Validate yourself. That's right I want you to validate
Out loud I want you to say three things
that you really like about yourself. Go ahead, say I have beautiful
eyes, delightful hair, my body is perfect for me.
Say them again. You can use something
different from the examples I give.
Now think of three more things you
really appreciate about yourself.
I love my sense of humor, my smile is
awesome, I am very loving.
Say it again, a bit louder. You are
validating yourself and it's really important.
You are a wonderful, powerful,
creative, magical being. Sometimes you just to to be reminded of it.
You are talented, giving, generous,
caring, motivating, inspiring, wise, funny, loving and strong.
Go ahead and say those things about
yourself. Validate yourself some more. It's good for you.
We talk a lot about the attitude of
gratitude. It's wonderful and powerful, yet it's only a step in the
direction of appreciation. Appreciation is the vibration of the
Creative Source of which you are a part. You can't severe your tie
from Source Energy, that's who you are. You can however stop being
aware of the connection. This is where the validation comes in.
It's a means of feeling the connection. Getting you back in line
with who you are rides the wave of appreciation. Using the tools of
self validation several times each day will help you to see yourself
as you really are.
You have many dreams that you haven't
brought into physical for yet because you don't believe in the dreams
and you don't believe in yourself. Through self validation you will
be able to tear down that wall of limiting beliefs and move through
with inspired action.
Now I want you to make a list of all
the things you've achieved in the past week.
Write down every goal you've
accomplished for the week. Include everything you can think of from
the little to the large.
Allow yourself to feel good about these
Say out loud, I accomplish my goals and
bring my dreams into reality. I am a powerful creator, following
inspiration with motivated action.
Now take the list to a month.
Go for six months, then a year. This
is a powerful exercise to do at the end and the beginning of each New
Year. It's also a great boost when you are feeling stuck.
Everyone feels a bit low now and then.
We tend to let our emotions be in charge of what we are thinking and
thus how we feel. Through the process of these exercises you can
bust loose anything and move into a better feeling energy.
I encourage you to do the validation
exercise first thing each morning. You will find that it empowers
you with joy, hope, and belief in yourself.
If you really want to boost the energy
quickly set aside 15 minutes to do an appreciate exercise.
Start off by letting your eyes move
around the room until something catches your attention that really
pleases you. Say out loud I am so appreciative of _____________.
Move on to the next thing in the room,
look outside and see what pleases you. In just a few minutes this
will take on a life of it's own as things to appreciate flow quicker
and quicker to your awareness.
Through self validation and
Appreciation exercises you will quickly transform your feelings, your
thoughts and in a short time your physical experiences.
I want you to know just how beautiful,
gifted, talented, important, loved, and inspiring you really ARE.
I am baffled when people excuse hate
filled messages by claiming “freedom of speech”.
It is a wonderful gift to live in a
nation that protects our right to speak out openly and passionately
on our opinions and beliefs.
I don't think however, that this right
was ever intended as an excuse to use language to promote hate, fear,

is better used to share wisdom, insights and personal experiences
that lift up the whole of humanity and bring us closer together
rather than tearing us further apart.
It concerns me when I hear people in
America using their wonderful freedom of speech to promote hatred
towards others for a difference of religion or preference of

freedom is? How did we come to think that speaking out in hatred and
violence empowers us to higher levels of freedom.
Empowerment comes not from hateful
words or violent acts, rather from a centered place within where you

True freedom, is more than being able
to say whatever you want, it's releasing yourself from fear and

Failure is a matter of perspective.
It's all in how you look at it. You can stop trying and certainly
fail, or use your failures to motivate you to try the next thing.

Failure is actually a blessing. It

Giving up and setting limiting beliefs
are the only things standing in your way.
I recently watched a video by a guy
with no arms and no legs. He talked about limits all being in your
head. He didn't see himself as limited, rather he saw opportunity to
do things a different way. This young man is very successful because
he just doesn't believe in limits. He believes in opportunity.
Every thing is your life is another
opportunity to do something a bit differently than it's been done
Shift your thinking and keep taking
action. Your dreams are much closer than you think.

a wall put there by a projector? They look real, movies and TV look
real too. They are not, they are mirror images of something else..
In order for you to create something
different than what you are now experiencing you just have to think
and feel differently.
Stop for just a moment and think about
something really pleasant. Think about how good a hug feels,
remember a recent hug that really warmed your heart.
Now, you've just created something
different than what you were experiencing a moment ago.
This is the process that we all follow
all the time. We think, we empower the thoughts with feeling and
passion, thinking them and feeling them over and over again until we
call them into form.
When you shift your thoughts and your
feelings, you shift reality. You begin the process of calling into
your experience that which you believe you will experience.
We've all done it many times. Ever
think of someone and in just a little bit the phones rings and that
person is on the phone?
When you begin to realize that the
present is the result of past thoughts, emotions and beliefs, you are
empowered with understanding that in order to change your experiences
you simply shift your thought and beliefs.. your expectations.
Whatever your present circumstance,
it's a wonderful teacher showing you how creation, reality works.
Look at the situation and trace back
your part in it. What thoughts, beliefs, expectations did you use to
bring it into form?
Now that you know how you did it,
simply use that same principle to create another physical illusion of

being worried and stressed, be thankful for the lesson this brings
