Hi! Humans like to say we're, well, "God's gift to the universe", but the bible does not share this view at all. Yes, God spares people in love and compassion, but He's also known to smite people for even asinine things, like eating pork or trying to steady a big sacred box. He called us "good" ... and then apparently decided we were "evil" and flooded the world. However, if He hated us so much, why didn't He just wipe out everyone and start over? It's not like He couldn't. He instead spared the beings he had created (at least a couple of them here and there), spreading our supposedly "flawed" genes that He supposedly hated. On the other hand, millions and billions of people have died. John the Baptist says God can replace us with rocks, which pretty much sums up the bible's REAL attitude. From the law where accidentally killing a fetus basically gets a slap on the wrist instead of killing the mother (death penalty), to ALLLLLLL the genocide (where men, women, children, and animals are killed equally) to the End of Days where apparently Jesus gets ticked off His stint as Savior didn't quite work out and takes it out on us, to the parables which liken us to clay pots or livestock or crops ... we are clearly products that God created. He CAN like us, but He clearly doesn't have to and sometimes doesn't. Just as you can buy an expensive car and yet throw it away, so can God create us and say He loves us and then kills us for no other reason than He can. I wanted to believe in pro-life, but after listening to the bible and nature, it's clear that the whole "zygotes are magically special" stuff is pulled out of people's behinds, because it is not based on any evidence whatsoever.

I want to thank you for accepting my friendship request. It has been a very long year. It is time for me to heal and move on.

Thank you Eric_k. :-) It is not the easiest thing to watch what is taking place in the world today. The one thing that keeps me going is knowing that in a short time, Jesus is coming his second time around. If I didn't know that one truth with what is taking place today, it would make life very difficult for me. Thanks again and God bless you also.
