I was born and raised in a catholic home, made my first communion and confirmation, did the whole nine yards. what i have a problem with is that;after my dad died i had went back to church and was listening the the priest do his sermon and it was going no where when he started talking about true forgivness , he said" that the only way that any of you can have that is going thru me" not saying that me meant god but that's the way it sounded and not only did he say it once he had said it two times, i was always led to believe that, the way to true forgiveness is through god himself. that he is the one that can grant us reconciliation. so after that i did write a letter to that priest and never ever got a response back from him, in fact three weeks after me mailing this letter he was transferred to another church so nothing was ever done about that, to me that's another problem when the catholics don't want to deal with certain issues they transfer the priest to another parish. so now i go to a church when i don't work and its great the closeness and the fellowship is just fantastic. tell me what you think or if you have an opinion about what i had said here. thanks
