I am a 56 year old man who has recently gotten married to a wonderful woman, I look forward to sending a long happy life with her.

I am trying to find a spiritual center.  I am attracted to Zen,  for a number of reasons.  Unlike most organized religions, Zen is not dogmatic, you are asked only to believe what feels right to you.

 Religions like Christianity  ask to you to look outside yourself to find the truth.  With Zen the emphasis is on the beauty, and divinity within, and the interconnectedness of all things.

 When it comes to issues like life after death, reincarnation. and just about anything supernatural.  I have to admit, that I just don't know.  

There is no certainty in life, like Buddha taught, everything is in flux.  This can be a bit scary, but if you allow yourself to accept the uncertainties, life becomes an adventure.

I believe that we can change the world person at a time, by becoming more self aware, and at peace with ourselves

 In my opinion Love is the most powerful force in the universe.  My goal is to be the most loving, compassionate person possible.  Not an easy goal to achieve, with the ego constantly getting in the way.

I hope to make friends and exchange opinions with other on this community
