Dorothy Sweeney is my mom's name. She died 16 years ago but has come to help me in my hour of need. I will love her Always and Forever.

Since coming to this site, I have begun to heal - to travel on a healing road.  The strangers I first met, I consider family now and I love you all.  I have learned about what true love is - not just from my own husband and children but from the very people on this site.  I have been show compassion in ways I didn't think possible.

I have been married for 35 years now - my oldest, Steve, is 27 and my handicapped son, Matt is 25.  Wow, my daughter, the "baby" will soon be 18 and is looking forward to going to Penn State.

My very first thread was called a Shattered Life and I won't lie - my life is shattered but as long as I come here and reach out and have others reach back - I am a better person than I was before.

I believe in God, in miracles and that I have someone special by my side each and every day of my life.

I believe the choices we make in life are how we will end up living our life.

I am also a total nut job - but it's my sense of humor that is a basic part of me - thank God I found that wit once again.
