About Me
Inspiration exists all around us when we open our consciousness to the space of no space.
Through the power of our unlimited universe, all things are possible and probable.
With grace, compassion, love, and joy, everything we dream will be achieved.
The most complex of issues on all levels can be resolved through the
simplest ideas, so long as compassion is the first priority.
Support comes in the unrequested acts of kindness as well as the response to the direct request.
About my Soul Mandalas
I get a lot of questions about the creation of my Soul Mandalas in particular, so please allow me to explain my process.
I am a Reiki Master/Teacher. For those of you who are not familiar
with Reiki, it is a form of hands-on energy healing. However, another
aspect of Reiki is long-distance healing. The practitioner traces the
energy of the client, then focuses on that person and their energy to
impart healing.
I've taken this basic premise and altered it somewhat. I trace the
energy of the person, move into their soul energy, and allow that soul
to direct my creative process.
I begin with brush strokes in Illustrator. I then move the strokes
into Photoshop. After isolating one stroke, I place it, then copy and
rotate the copy repeatedly to create one layer of strokes. This is
duplicated and flipped, then all are flattened together. The process
continues with each round of strokes until the frame is completed.
Once the frame is in place, each round of color is added. Again,
this is done row by row (or as close as these images come to having
'rows'!). Finally the dimensional elements, bursts, and background are
added.
The resulting image is a reflection of the client's soul energy. I
hope this helps to explain my process and why the Soul Mandala images
are similar yet unique - just like our souls!
My
creations work through the energy of the
principles listed above, allowing me to express the deep relationship
between color
and consciousness, between love and light filled expressions, between
the sacred and the profane.
Please take a moment to peruse my
photographs. I have included a number of mandalas for your enjoyment.
And check back from time to time, as I'll be adding more for your
viewing pleasure!
Please enjoy my images! They are available for purchase (contact me via this site's email for more information). Personal Soul
Mandalas are available by commission only and are shown with the
owners' specific permission.
