You don't know it but, your writings/works along with Wayne Dyer, Cheryle Richardson, and Doreen Virtue has played a major part in the creation of my inspiritional messages I give in my poetry. Many came from Opera Shows themes. This is true! I thank you for this. Yes I have read all your work and yes I am a writer too! With a book of fifty of my poems and half way finish for second book. I am more a poet, I do write other things. I would love to share some of my verse, my web site is www.sahrathelittlestangel.com I am very proud to be a part of the Beliefnet Community, here with you and I hope you will accept my hand in friendship.

Thank you for accepting my friendship request! I admit that I have loved your books for years, and that as an aspireing doctor myself, I am inspired by your help in bring east and west together! Thank you for your words. However, that being said, I hope to get to know the Dr. Chopra the person rather than to just sit in awe of your work. If you ever have a moment, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the mundane and typical day in the life of you and yours. Most sincerely, Sara (Emerging butterfly)

Thanks for welcoming me as a friend here. Do you, Deepak Chopra, really check your beliefnet page yourself, or does a secretary? I don't mean to be a wiseass (smile)! Just genuinely curious. I feel that you are such a delightful mix of sage, doctor, and ordinary man, and I admire you for being the least "guru"-ish guru that I'm aware of. I think that is a very special thing because throughout history so many people once offered the opportunity by their followers to fall into an authoritative, top-down role have not been able to resist the temptation. Your sincerity is very refreshing, as is your wonderful sense of humour which to me is a real make or break with spiritual teachers! While it is obviously important to have the integrity to be serious and go deep, I find it strange when teachers never drop the facade of "quiet mindfulness, with a splash of esoterica." Good luck in continued success with your major contributions to bridging the East West gap, and I would be thrilled if you had any interest in reading my book Being Ourself which is due out in Spring, 2009 (I need to get some endorsements! I'm sure you understand[smile]). Message me for details, or an attachment of the manuscript. Peace and friendship, Ty

I have been a fan of yours since my training (panchakarma) at the TM center in Malibu (I met you there). I also loved you talk in Santa Barbara a few yr ago ( I think @ Fess Parker's?), and your "spot" in "One, the movie". Your writings (and personality) continue to inspire me. Thank you for leaving the Maharishi :) Love, DharmaG
