I am an "Emerging Contemplative Mystic Liberal Catholic Anglican Christian" within the Church of England (Anglican Communion and Porvoo Communion).
Emerging meaning that I am open to new ways of worship (including from other faiths)
Contemplative meaning that I enjoy meditative prayer and quietness
Mystic meaning that I not only have faith but I seek direct experience and knowledge of the divine, and also meaning that I understand that there are some divine things we just cannot describe in human language
Liberal meaning that I don't mind that other people have different faiths as everybody is on their own spiritual journey (and maybe we can learn from each other!). I am also Inclusive, meaning that I believe that no-matter your race, background/culture, sexual-orientation I believe that you should be accepted into Christianity.
Catholic meaning universal (therefore open to all) and also meaning that I enjoy the Catholic style of incense, bells, signing and garments.
Anglican meaning that I was baptised in a Church of the Anglican Communion (Church of England - Oxford Diocese). It also means that I follow the Nicene, Apostles and Athanasian Creed which indicate Trinitarianism.
Christian meaning that I believe that there was a Jesus Christ, who taught wonderful things, brought the wonderful divine back into peoples lives and then he died as a martyr on the cross at the hands of a Roman General and a haud of Jews who just didn't realise what he was teaching.
Other keywords for my belief might be: Trinitarian, Inclusive, Progressive, Neomonastic, Ecumenical
I am part of the Church of England which means that I (should be) accepted for full communion in all churches within the Anglican Communion, Porvoo Communion and any other Churches which are in Amity with the Church of England.
I have found similarities between my beliefs/practices and those of Quaker and Unitarian Universalist communities.
I am extremely interested in Comparative Religion and the Philosophy of Religion. I am also interested in Interfaith Dialogue, and would be very happy to talk (and possibly even attend a meeting) with Buddhists and Liberal Jews.
