Hello CSeab! Just thought I'd reply to your comment. I wouldn't say I gave up on Christianity the way I described it in my profile. There was a point in my life where I claimed to be Christian, yet interpreted the Bible in such a liberal way that certain Christians might feel I became an apostate. I agree that the story of Jesus is wonderful, but it's the teachings of his that I feel are most necessary. The thing I reject about Christianity is the resurection and its importance, along with the Trinity and a focus on Paul. Had Christianity been about emulating Jesus and applying his words to our life, I may have stayed Christian; its in the 'I'm saved you're not' attitude where I find disatisfaction. And then, of course, Jesus had a wonderful story, but so did many other wonderful Prophets and Reformers that I like to learn of and emulate.
