Many say that my beliefs are foolish. There are many beliefs that I say are foolish.
Isn't humanity's diversity of belief grand! It is from such fertile ground that the seeds of wisdom thrust up their buds of truth.
Hello CSeab! Just thought I'd reply to your comment. I wouldn't say I gave up on Christianity the way I described it in my profile. There was a point in my life where I claimed to be Christian, yet interpreted the Bible in such a liberal way that certain Christians might feel I became an apostate. I agree that the story of Jesus is wonderful, but it's the teachings of his that I feel are most necessary. The thing I reject about Christianity is the resurection and its importance, along with the Trinity and a focus on Paul. Had Christianity been about emulating Jesus and applying his words to our life, I may have stayed Christian; its in the 'I'm saved you're not' attitude where I find disatisfaction. And then, of course, Jesus had a wonderful story, but so did many other wonderful Prophets and Reformers that I like to learn of and emulate.
