I must say that I am at a similar place as you. I know that I believe in the Great Source of Life, but I have decided not to call myself anything accept a believer in The Divine. You don't have to claim a religion to believe in God. Even with believing in Christ you can continue to believe in His manner and way and still live your life. You are who you are and if the God we praise is all knowing then it was already known that so many beliefs would exist. So, I find what works for me and I love and live in peace.
I posted on your forum, you can read my comments there. I would like to stay in touch to compare notes on our parallel journeys. After some time of not going to church I am trying some mainline churches which seem more amenable to ambiguity. I also am seeking opportunities to be of service to my fellow man, since this is one element found in all faiths. I have a number of things I have found on the internet which you might find interesting.
