Hi All.   I'm a young 51 year old, I'm divorced with one son who is 27 years old.  I live near the Great Smokey Mountains and the scenery around here is absolutely proof positive that God created wonderful things.

I love to read, basically mysteries but occasionally you can catch me reading a romance novel.  I love old things, old cemeteries fascinate me...I love old cars and recently bought myself a 72 restored vw convertable.   I have been a Christian for a long time but I havent been attending church the past years...I think i need to start looking  for a home church and now maybe is the time.  I've been divorced a very long time and last year was also the end of a 7 year relationship that basically was a friendship.

The past 5 years of my life have been dedicated to taking care of my mother who had alzheimers and holding down a full time job.  She passed away last year and a month later my best friend got killed in a car accident...this past year has been a fog for me.  I think I am finally beginning to emerge and I basically joined this site to find other Christians and some new friends. Other than my son and the two dogs who currently own my couch, I am mostly without family left.  Sometimes It can get very lonely and I find myself a bit depressed at times. 

So here I am... I'm looking for new friends, a chance to learn more about the bible and God's teachings...and maybe someplace where I can strengthen my faith.

And , did i mention that I'm clumsy ?
