Hi, I haven't been on beliefnet in a looong time and I just saw your post. Although I'm no longer in school, I've found that it's no different than in the workplace. I work in a Catholic hospital and yet I hear an unfortunate amount of Anti-Catholic sentiment there. I understand what you mean about Catholicism being less accepted than other Christian denominations even though it is the largest Christian denomination. It can be tough, certainly, but I pray regularly for the courage and strength to stand up for my beliefs and who I am. Don't let the negativity get you down. Remember the Bible verse (to be completely honest I don't remember which Gospel its from) that says if we deny Jesus here on Earth, He will deny us in front of God. That's how I think of it. Hope that helped :)
Hey, being a teen in a catholic school, i wanna know, why is everyone afraid to say hey, ima catholic, out loud in school. There seems to be wayyyy more tolerance for other religions than catholics in my school. Any one else think that's wrong?
