    Hi! My name is Heide. I created this group for people who are dually diagnose with mental disorders and addiction. It is hard to live being dually diagnose and I would like to hear peoples experiences on how it effects them and how to coop with it. There is help here.
    Mental disorder: The condition of being sound mentally and emotionally that is characterized by the absence of mental disorder (as neurosis or psychosis) and by adequate adjustment especially as reflected in feeling comfortable about oneself, positive feelings about others, and ability to meet the demands of life.
    Addiction: Compulsive physiological need for and use of a habit-forming substance (as heroin, nicotine, or alcohol) characterized by tolerance and by well-defined physiological symptoms upon withdrawal; broadly : persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be physically, psychologically, or socially harmful.
